NEWSLETTER        MARCH 2010

With the introduction of the new white Sky viewing cards some viewers may be experiencing problems accessing their local ITV regional programmes now that the old blue viewing card has been thrown out. I thought it may be useful to explain how you will be able to re-tune your programme into your digibox. The digibox regional programmes are controlled by the post-code which has been set in the electronic chip on the old viewing card. If you remove the card and re-boot the digibox, the box will lose it`s location reference provided by the card and it will not recognise it`s geographical situation.

To overcome this problem with your local hometown ITV programmes you will need to enter new channel information in the "Find Channels " so that your digibox can search for this new channel setting.

If you press the " Services " button and select option "4 " you will enter the " System Set Up " menu.

In this menu, you need to select the " Add Channels " option 4. At this stage you need to alter the four settings to the appropriate configuration for your local ITV channel. You will need to know the following 4 settings :

Frequency ( GHz )      :  Polarity  ( V or H )  :       Symbol Rate  : ( Mbaud )   :     FEC   :

Having re-set these figures, you then scroll the yellow cursor line down to " Find Channels " and press "Select ".   The digibox will then search for the channel. If the parameters you have entered are correct , the digibox will locate the channel and it will appear on a list on the screen. You then select it with the yellow cursor and press the yellow button on your remote control to store it with a tick. You can now press "Select" to exit the menus. You can now find this channel in the " Other Channels " option in the "Services " menu.

e.g.   ITV London settings are: Frequency 10.758 GHz  / Polarity  V / Symbol Rate 22 / FEC 5/6
